GREENBUILDING MAPPING : Product mapping for LEED, BREEAM, WELL sustainability and wellbeing protocols

Compliance analysis and mapping of products for use in sustainability and well-being protocols LEED, BREEAM, WELL.

Greenwich, thanks to a team of specialised professionals, is the ideal partner for all those companies that, through Greenbuilding Mapping, want to demonstrate the suitability of use of their products in buildings subject to LEED, BREEAM, WELL certification.

What does product mapping mean?

It means making an analysis of the conformity of a company’s products with respect to the subject of environmental building certifications, with a clear attribution of the subject areas of the protocols and the contribution to obtaining LEED, BREEAM, WELL credits.

How is the Greenbuilding Mapping activity developed?

The path leading to product mapping can be summarised in 4 phases:

1. Detailed technical analysis of products and application methods, environmental and sustainability performance for an assessment of compliance and valorisation towards LEED, BREEAM, WELL and Building CAM certifications.

2. Execution/Integration of the LEED, BREEAM, WELL and Building CAM mapping of products, with the illustration of the characteristics to be valorised for Green and Healty Buildings projects towards the various protocols. For each certification protocol, the compliance or contribution that the product range can demonstrate will be identified.

3. Elaboration of specific technical documentation, in Italian and/or English, regarding product compliance, for presentation to designers and clients involved in Green and Healthy Buildings projects or for which compliance with the CAM for Buildings is required.

4. Identification of any additions useful to demonstrate the contribution to the certification protocols and to increase the relative environmental performance; communication of compliance with the requirements in a language consistent with the certification protocols; to provide visibility to products and company choices in the field of sustainability by increasing marketability.

The final result is a document, the Greenbuilding Mapping Report, which expresses the conformity of products to be used in certified buildings/projects. Furthermore, the report expresses the importance of the certification protocols by indicating objectives and requirements and presents a snapshot of the supplier’s sustainable choices.

What are the advantages for a company in undertaking product mapping?

Companies that have undertaken mapping are able to demonstrate and make evident to customers their level of sustainability and the type of contribution to certification protocols. This analysis also provides them with important information, such as what updates need to be made to remain competitive in the market. The analysis is tangible proof of the company’s innovative and technological choices on a sustainable level, a plus that increases its visibility in the market.
