Beatrice Fanchini

Joining Greenwich in 2014 as an architect specializing in sustainable consulting, Beatrice Fanchini participated in the creation of the Breeam area, at a time when this sustainability protocol for buildings was still uncommon in Italy. Beatrice immediately believed strongly in the value of Breeam certification and the innovative vision of Pinoli and Zaffino. She obtained the qualification of Breeam Assessor and quickly became a point of reference in the promotion and application of the Breeam sustainability protocol in Italy, as well as one of its most convinced supporters, in the historic “Breeam or Leed” diatribe.

Beatrice’s professional growth was not long in coming. In Greenwich she is supported and stimulated by the continuous and mutual comparison with high-profile colleagues. Over the years she broadened her focus toward ESG issues, concentrating on aspects such as decarbonization and the development of specialized analysis to promote integrated building design, in which sustainability was the main driver. She oversaw the drafting of sustainability due diligence for the acquisition of new assets and developed paths to enhance their ESG performance, through, for example, the application of protocols such as Breeam In Use or customized solutions for different real estate portfolios.

In addition, Beatrice Fanchini is committed to creating built environments that are not only environmentally sustainable but also promote the balance of ecosystems, actively collaborating with Greenwich’s in-house team of ecologists and naturalists, and helping to devise and integrate innovative solutions that promote biodiversity into real estate asset development projects.

Passionate about design, contemporary art, and northern countries… Beatrice describes herself as an architect lent to sustainability, committed first and foremost to building relationships and human relationships. She likes to listen and gets a lot out of teamwork. Excel and numbers are less in her wheelhouse but for that there are engineers! While her husband and son, with a different but identical determination, motivate her in the daily challenge of balancing work and family.

In her coming years in Greenwich, she wishes to continue exploring new horizons, challenges, and the opportunities that the market, the job landscape, and the world at large will present to her. Empathetic and kind, it is important to Beatrice that beautiful dynamics and synergies are created in the team, and that everyone advances to new technical skills. Indeed, she believes that training and specialization, along with the enhancement of human capital , are the true hallmarks of Greenwich, which she will continue to focus on in the coming decades.
