Stefano Adami

Stefano Adami is the chief operating officer of Greenwich’s Green and Healthy Building Business Unit. He holds this role thanks to his leadership and organizational skills, with the goal of maintaining high competitiveness, innovation and customer satisfaction in a market subject to continuous challenges and evolution.

After earning a solid academic education in construction engineering and architecture at the Politecnico di Milano, he began his career in the construction industry, eventually joining Greenwich in 2012, where he further deepened his skills by earning the prestigious LEED AP BD+C, WELL AP, FITWELL AMBASSADOR, RESET AP, WELL PTA, WiredScore Office Occupied AP and Activescore AP accreditations.

Working for large manufacturers has enabled him to mature a vision of sustainability strongly anchored in the practicality and feasibility of solutions, with attention to its technical-economic feasibility, and thus avoiding approaches that are purely theoretical or divorced from the reality in which one operates.

His experience in building sustainability consulting during the construction phase has made him a leading professional. As Project Manager at Greenwich, he managed the certification process of more than 100 projects, overseeing the process and promoting practical and innovative solutions geared toward sustainability and energy efficiency.

In his current role as BU Operations Director, Stephen is responsible for optimizing internal processes and overseeing strategic and design choices related to sustainability certifications for buildings. What he finds most stimulating in his work is the variety and dynamism of the issues he deals with on a daily basis.

He fosters a culture of learning and innovation in the company and is highly motivated to consolidate an autonomous and proactive team that is able to meet new challenges and respond to industry needs with decisiveness and creativity. The values that guide his work are respect, pragmatism and serenity. He is convinced that every problem can be solved by spending the right amount of time analyzing the causes and proposing simple and clear solutions.

He firmly believes that, both at work and in the family, only in a serene environment can people express their abilities and inclinations to the fullest. For this reason, he is known to always have the door open, to confrontations or simple conversations, fostering an atmosphere of cooperation and openness.
