ANALYSIS OF BIODIVERSITY

“Nature knows no graves, only cradles.”, quote from Gunter Pauli.

The service of analysing the biodiversity of ecosystems is aimed at designing the environmental quality of a site/habitat. It is the starting point for restoring, improving and maintaining the viability of an ecosystem in an area. The analysis consists of three stages:

  • Inventory and census of flora and fauna biodiversity;
  • Monitoring and qualitative measurement;
  • Assessment and comparison of trends over time.

The measurements of fauna biodiversity are carried out not only with traditional systems, but also with technologies such as sonographic environmental surveys, the installation of webcams, and the introduction of photo-trap systems.

A client who wants to learn about and improve the natural ecological function of a habitat turns to expert naturalist technicians for the following products:

  • Standardised inventory report;
  • Biodiversity monitoring programme;
  • Soundscape analysis of biodiversity;
  • Image and video reports on the biodiversity of the site’s fauna.

Based on this process, a set of measures to improve the biodiversity of a site/ecosystem are then defined and developed, which are applied in an environmentally friendly way to the reality in question and may have the following objectives, among others:

  • The improvement and conservation of biodiversity;
  • The ecological regeneration of an area;
  • The improvement of the quality of life in an area;
  • The integration of biodiversity into the urban planning of an area;
  • The utilisation of biodiversity by users.
